Getting Messy With Christy

I just love interactive sploshing.

JellynCustard's Splosh Casino is an excellent example of this (more on that another time!!); but today I had fun "Getting Messy with Christy".

[Note - This isn't a sponsored post; I just really like these videos!]

The only problem with getting messy with Christy is that she uses an all american cream pie, which I have struggled to find a suitable supplier of in the UK!

So I had to improvise with the following:

Ingredients & Equipment

+ Large Asda Perfect Pastry Sponge Flan Case
+ 1kg carton of custard
+ 1 can of squirty cream
+ (optional) Onken strawberry yoghurt tub 450g
+ (optional) Onken vanilla yoghurt tub 450g

+ Large microwavable jug
+ Spatula

+ Getting Messy with Christy video from UMD (see link above)
+ Video playback device

Preparation

1) Microwave the carton of custard for 2 minutes (stirring at the 1 minute mark)
2) Set the flan case down in your chosen sploshing location
3) Pour enough custard to cover the base of the flan
4) (option) Pour the two tubs of yoghurt into the jug, and mix as much or as little as you like
5) When you are ready to go; get the video ready to play, and squirt as much of the squirty cream to cover the top of the custardy flan case

Delivery

It doesn't matter where you play ('counter top, sofa or wherever'); I played in the bath with just some underpants on.

1) Hit play on the video and follow Christy's instructions
2) (optional) When she instructs you to come, you can always throw what is left of the custard (and yoghurt!) over yourself ;-)

Even without the full American Cream Pie experience (one day!), I found the above a great substitute and I had a lot of fun getting messy with Christy :o)

Five Pies, Cake & Custard

I have resolved to blog on here a bit more often; and here is how I started 2017!

Ingredients & Equipment

+ 5x Savoury Pastry Cases (Morrisons)
+ 4x Instant Whip Desert (four different flavours - Chocolate, Butterscotch, Strawberry, Banana)
+ 2x 1kg Ambrosia custard cartons
+ 1 litre of milk
+ 1 black forest gateaux (Tesco)
+ (optional) 1 can of Ambrosia rice pudding
+ (optional) 1 bottle of raspberry topping

+ 1 mixing jug
+ whisk
+ Large microwavable jug
+ Spatula
+ Plastic bowl/container

Preparation

1) Defrost the gateaux at least 12 hours in advance of you getting messy; ideally 18 hours
2) Prepare your location for getting messy - if you are indoors, I find Wilkos have great plastic sheeting (normally for painting at home and protecting your furniture)
3) Mix up 5 pies as follows:
      a) 250ml of milk into the mixing jug (the packet will say 300ml - ignore!)
      b) Mix in one of the whip desert packets
      c) Whilst that sets, pour enough custard to cover about 2/3 of the pie base
      d) Once the whip has set, spread enough of it onto the pie to cover the pie base, and spread with the spatula
      e) Put any remaining whip into the plastic bowl/container
      f) Repeat for the other 3 whips
      g) For the last pie, just pour enough custard to cover the whole of the pie base
4) Microwave all of the remaining custard for 1m30s in the Large microwaveable jug
5) (optional) Microwave the rice pudding for 1 minute, and then put half into the Plastic bowl with the remaining whip mix, and half into the large custard jug
6) (optional) Top the pies with Raspberry topping, and also mix into the Plastic bowl and Custard jug
7) Place the defrosted gateaux in your play area, along with the 5 pies, Plastic bowl and Custard jug

Delivery

I played in just my underpants, but you decide what to wear. Pants at least though.

1) Pie yourself twice
2) Grab the mix in the Plastic bowl and pour into your underpants
3) Have another pie or two (leave at least one!)
4) Time to sit on that gateaux
5) Use the last pie on yourself
6) Enjoy yourself in the mess you have created
7) Finish the whole experiences by pouring the Custard jug all over yourself

Basic Fun

There is not too much to this recipe, but as a basic starter for self-sploshing fun, I would say it is ideal.

Ingredients & Equipment

+ 2 tins or 2 cups of fresh custard (usually around the 500ml size)
+ 2 tubs of plain yoghurt (usually around the 500ml size)
+ 2 litre jug
+ (optional) small container
+ (optional) suitably gooey cake [cheap 'gateux' in the frozen section, after being defrosted, are good]

Preparation

1) Warm the custard in the microwave [1 minute, stir, 1 more minute]
2) Pour all/(optional) most of the custard into the 2 litre jug, and add all the yoghurt to this
3) (optional) Put a small bit of the custard into a separate small container
4) (optional) Place the gooey cake on your chosen place of sitting

Delivery

1) (optional) Plant your face into the gooey cake, and immediately pour the separate small container of custard over the back of your head
2) (optional) Now sit in the gooey cake
3) Pour the contents of the 2 litre jug over your head
4) Enjoy :o)
